Is Apple getting closer to a wireless charging solution?

Patently Apple has been busy sorting through the 27 new patents just granted to Apple and the one that stands out is this docking station which features inductive charging for an Apple device.

If Apple could finally pull of wireless charging it would be the Holy Grail for mobile devices.
