Samsung's Ban Lifted in Australia

Samsung's ban on selling the Galaxay Tab 10.1 has been lifted today after a ruling in the Australian High Court.

The SMH reports:

"Samsung will be permitted to launch the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia provided it keeps accounts of all transactions involving that device in Australia," the judges wrote in their judgment.

This is a huge win for Samsung especially before Christmas, where they will have their best chance to try and make a dent in the tablet market.

Samsung said: "We believe the ruling clearly affirms that Apple’s legal claims lack merit"

The case will be heard in March of next year, with sales allowed to continue in the meantime.
